Historic Flooding in the Midwest – Does Anyone Care?

The past few days have been horrific for the residents of Nebraska and Iowa. After the buildup of snow through a number of winter storms, followed by sudden warm temperatures and rain, these two states have been racked by massive flooding. Dams and levies have been compromised, herds of livestock have died, bridges and roads have been destroyed. At one point there was a report of 20 communities under evacuation orders in Nebraska with 60,000 residents displaced.

Yet, is there anything about Midwest flooding on Fox News? No. Does CNN have detailed front-page style coverage? No, there’s this as of the evening of March 15th:

Nebraskans PREPARE for historic flooding. Yes, President Trump, I look as confused as you do. The flooding is happening now. Below are just a few of the images that are floating around social media at this time about the disaster. Please keep those impacted by the floods in your prayers and inform those who don’t know what’s going on about how bad the impact really is. There’s plenty of video available to keep them agape for a while. Knox County News‘ Facebook page alone has a host pf videos and images of the impact the flood is having.

Stay safe Iowa and Nebraska!
